Day 1 (Saturday March 10, 2007)
We have arrived, our hardy group of fifteen. We were greeted with hugs and warm welcomes by Bishop Delgado, Teresa (our wonderful cook), Rodolfo, and Luis. Teresa fixed us a great meal while we settled into our rooms. Fr. Ralph led us in a beautiful worship focusing on what it means to be a missionary and Dave Helmick led us in song, albeit without his guitar. We are waiting for some of our luggage to arrive from Mexico City so we are sorting out toothbrush issues and such but will be fine until it gets here. Therefore, we need our prayer partners to kick it up a notch. Por favor. We are discovering that each of us is bringing a unique part of who we are, how God works in our lives, and what gifts we have to share with each other in this experience. Tomorrow, we shall begin our journey by worshiping at the Anglican Cathedral and preparing for the work that lies ahead. May God help us to ¨be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true and shine through us for those we encounter and work with. And no, Dixie hasn´t fallen yet although there was a close one with an escalator.

Amen

Dixie Allen
